  • value: <p><strong>John Trinidad MD MPH FAAD</strong> (He/Him) is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Clinical Faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed medical school at the University of California, San Francisco with a focus on addressing health disparities through the UCSF Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US). After graduating, he achieved a Master‚Äôs in Public Health at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University. Dr. Trinidad completed his dermatology residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio where he served as Chief Resident of Medical Education. He joined the faculty of The Ohio State University Division of Dermatology and practiced there for 5 years, earning the rank of Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine. As OSU faculty he served as the Director of Inpatient Dermatology Consultation Services, Director of the OSU Dermatology Prison Clinic, and founder of the interdisciplinary HIV Dermatology Clinic.</p> <p>Dr. Trinidad currently serves as clinical faculty at our Boston location and at the MGH Charlestown HealthCare Center. He provides medical dermatology care with clinical interests including inpatient dermatology consultations, infectious diseases, sexually transmitted infections, skin cancer screening, skin of color, acne, psoriasis, porphyria, and eczema. His research interests include complex medical dermatology, inpatient dermatology consultations, LGBT health, health disparities, and health policy.</p> <p>Dr. Trinidad is active in both state and national societies. Before coming to Massachusetts, he was elected to the Ohio Dermatological Association Board of Trustees to serve multiple terms on the Board. He has served on the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Diversity Taskforce Committee, the AAD Expert Resource Group on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender/Sexual and Gender Minority (LGBT/SGM) Health, and the AAD Congressional Policy Committee He continues to be active in graduate medical education, mentoring dermatology residents and medical students.</p> <p>Dr. Trinidad is a collaborative member of the <a href="https://www.massgeneral.org/transgender-health-program/">Transgender Health Program at Massachusetts General Hospital.</a></p> <p> </p>
